Photo Upload Guidelines & Procedure

Last updated: October 6, 2026

To maintain an authentic, respectful, and safe community for all members, public avatars and shared content on chatwithme.fun adhere to the standards below.

1. Profile Photo Standards

Your profile picture is how other members discover and interact with you. Great profile pictures follow these guidelines:

  • Clear & Identifiable: Use a clear, well-lit photo where your face is easily visible. Avoid heavy filters, excessive blurring, or extreme angles.
  • Authentic Representation: The photo should represent you. Do not upload photos of other private individuals without their explicit written consent.
  • Supported Formats: JPG, PNG, and WebP images. Files are automatically processed, normalized, and optimized for display.

2. Public Surfaces vs. Private 1-on-1 Chats

We respect our adult members' freedom of choice in private conversations, while ensuring all public areas of the platform remain safe and accessible:

Public Profiles & Public Rooms (Must Be SFW)

Profile pictures, avatars, and public room covers are visible to everyone browsing the community. These public surfaces must not contain exposed genitalia, sexual acts, or explicit nudity. Avatars must clearly show your face.

Private 1-on-1 Chats (Consenting Adults)

What two consenting adults share privately in a 1-on-1 chat is their personal choice. We provide privacy controls including sensitive content blurring (tap-to-reveal) and disappearing / view-once timers to protect your privacy.

Strictly Prohibited Across the Entire Platform

Regardless of whether a space is public or private, the following conduct and media are strictly illegal and result in immediate termination:

Zero Tolerance for CSAM

Any imagery depicting minors or child exploitation results in instant ban & federal NCMEC reporting.

Non-Consensual Sharing

No sending unsolicited explicit photos, revenge media, or sharing intimate photos without consent.

Impersonation & Stolen Photos

No using photos of celebrities or other people to deceive, catfish, or scam members.

Violence, Gore & Extortion

No graphic gore, threats of violence, blackmail, sextortion, or hate group insignia.

3. Verification & Anti-Catfishing System

To protect members from bots, sockpuppets, and identity theft, chatwithme.fun implements technical verification measures:

  • Duplicate Photo Detection: When you upload a profile avatar, an algorithmic cryptographic fingerprint is generated. Identical photos cannot be registered across multiple distinct accounts to prevent mass-bot farming and fake profiles.
  • Automated Pre-Screening: Every uploaded avatar undergoes automated AI moderation before being saved to storage. Images flagged with high toxicity or adult content scores are rejected immediately at upload time with an on-screen explanation.

4. Moderation & Removal Procedure

If an image is reported by members or flagged by subsequent moderation checks:

  1. First-Instance Rejection/Reset: Inappropriate avatars are immediately removed and reset to the system default avatar. An in-app warning notification is sent explaining the violation.
  2. Repeated Violations: Accounts that repeatedly attempt to upload prohibited content will receive account strikes and may be suspended from uploading media or joining public rooms.
  3. Severe Violations: Depictions of violence, exploitation, or illegal conduct result in immediate permanent account termination without warning.

5. Non-Consensual Image Takedowns & DMCA

If your likeness or copyrighted photo was uploaded to chatwithme.fun by someone else without your permission, we take non-consensual image sharing with utmost seriousness:

  • Email urgent takedown requests to hello@chatwithme.fun with a link to the profile or room, or use the in-app Report button.
  • Our trust & safety team processes verified takedown requests on an expedited basis.
  • For formal copyright claims, refer to our DMCA Policy.
